Ripple is an American blockchain company headquartered in San Francisco, California. It offers payment solutions for businesses and is the issuer of the XRP cryptocurrency. The platform is available in more than 55 countries and supports over 120 currencies.
The company claims that its RippleNet network processes payments in 3+ seconds and does not require money pre-funded to make international transfers. Ripple also runs the RIppleX platform, which allows developers to integrate payment solutions into applications. The company provides a line of credit service, which allows to delay payments using XRP.
Ripple is used by hundreds of financial companies across the world, including Bank of America, Santander and SendFriend. Ripple's security is SOC 2 certified. The company also conforms to the ISO 20022 payment standard.
