SpaceX
SpaceX is an American aerospace technology company with the head office in Hawthorne, California. It is engaged in engineering, production, and launching of rockets and spacecrafts. Currently, the main activity of the company is the delivery of artificial satellites and cargo to the Earth's orbit. However, in the future it plans to organize missions to other planets as well.
The distinctive feature of SpaceX's rockets is their reusability, which allows to drastically reduce costs of new launches. The company's fleet consists of Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy (rockets), Dragon (spacecraft), and Starship (mutual name of an integrated rocket-spacecraft system).
SpaceX has a few side-projects. Starlink is aimed at providing worldwide high-speed internet access by setting up a net of satellites in the low Earth orbit. The company also sells an opportunity to fly to space to individual commercial customers.
