Aurora

Aurora is an American company that focuses on developing autonomous driving technologies. It plans to incorporate its solutions in the industries of logistics (trucks), mobility (ridesharing), automobile manufacturing and fleet management. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Aurora's flagship product is The Aurora Driver - an integrated system of sensors, software and a computer. Among sensors are lidars, cameras and a radar, which togethter provide a 360 degree view and allow to spot obstacles from 300 metres away. Aurora's software employs machine learning to localize a car on the map, perceive objects around it and devise the plan of actions to control the vehicle. Aurora's computer is fast, compact and resistant to both high and low temperatures.

Aurora plans to equip the first commercial vehicles with its products in the near future. The company constantly conducts software, perception and on-road tests.
